Trusted Log Book Servicing

Keep Your Vehicle Serviced Properly and On Schedule

If your vehicle is due for scheduled maintenance, booking it in on time helps support reliability, safety and long-term performance. It also keeps your service history complete, which matters more than most owners realise until they come to sell.

For professional log book services Adelaide drivers can rely on, we carry out scheduled servicing for a wide range of vehicles to the manufacturer’s own schedule, then stamp your book.

  • Serviced to your manufacturer’s schedule, not a generic list

  • Correct oil grade and parts to specification

  • Your log book stamped, dated and recorded

Your Warranty

Log Book Servicing and Your New-Car Warranty

This is the question we get asked most, so here is the plain answer. In Australia you do not have to service your car at the dealership to keep your new-car warranty.

Under Australian Consumer Law, a manufacturer cannot require you to use their dealer network for scheduled servicing as a condition of the warranty. The ACCC has taken action against manufacturers who told customers otherwise. What the warranty does require is that the servicing follows the manufacturer’s schedule, uses parts and fluids of the correct specification, and is properly recorded.

  • Serviced to the manufacturer’s schedule for your make, model and interval

  • Correct specification parts and fluids, including the right oil approval

  • Your log book stamped with the date, kilometres and workshop details

  • A complete service history you can show a dealer or a future buyer

That is all it takes. Your warranty stays intact, your history stays complete, and you pay independent labour rates instead of dealership ones.

General information only. Warranty terms vary between manufacturers, so it is always worth reading yours. We are happy to talk through what your schedule requires.

Our Log Book Services

Log Book Services We Provide in Adelaide

We provide the full range of log book services for passenger vehicles, utes and light commercial vehicles, following your manufacturer’s schedule rather than a generic checklist.

  • Scheduled log book servicing to the manufacturer’s interval

  • Engine oil to the correct grade and approval, with the right filter

  • Air and cabin filters as the interval calls for them

  • Coolant, brake fluid, power steering and transmission fluid checks

  • Brake and tyre inspection at every service

  • Belts, hoses, battery and charging system checks

  • Diagnostic fault code scan where the vehicle supports it

  • Log book stamped, dated and recorded before handover

Not every interval calls for the same work, which is why the schedule matters. A minor interval may be oil, filter and inspection. A major one adds filters, fluids and a longer list. We tell you what yours is due for before you book.

Audi

Each manufacturer sets its own intervals, oil approvals and inspection lists, which is why we work from your schedule rather than a generic one. If your make is not listed, contact our team and we will confirm.

Common Warning Signs

Signs Your Vehicle May Be
Due for a Service

Even if your vehicle seems to be driving normally, routine servicing should not be left too long.

  • Service interval has been reached

  • Dashboard service reminder is on

  • Reduced vehicle performance

  • Unusual engine noise or vibration

  • Lower fuel efficiency

  • A gap opening up in your service history

Not sure how long it will take? Our guide on how long a car service takes sets out realistic timings for each interval.

Safety & Performance

A Log Book Service Supports More Than Just Routine Maintenance

Regular servicing does more than keep your vehicle on schedule. It helps support safe operation, reliable performance and the long-term condition of important vehicle components.

When servicing is missed or delayed, you may notice reduced performance, increased wear and a less reliable driving experience. A gap in the book also costs real money at resale, because a buyer has no way to know how the car was treated.

If your vehicle is past its log book period, general car servicing covers the same ground without the manufacturer schedule attached.

Frequently Asked Questions

Log Book Services Adelaide FAQs

No. Under Australian Consumer Law a manufacturer cannot require you to service at their dealership as a condition of the new-car warranty. The servicing has to follow the manufacturer’s schedule, use correct specification parts, and be recorded in your log book. We do all three.

Yes, every time. We stamp and date it, record the kilometres and the workshop details, so your service history stays complete for both your warranty and your resale value.

Whatever your manufacturer schedules at that interval. Typically engine oil and filter, air and cabin filters where due, fluid checks and top-ups, brake and tyre inspection, and a safety check. Some intervals are lighter, others are considerably more involved.

Follow your manufacturer’s interval, which is usually set by kilometres or by months, whichever comes first. If you do mostly short trips or stop-start driving, the time-based interval is often the one that applies.

Most makes sold in Australia, including Toyota, Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Isuzu, Ford, Holden, Honda, Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen. Call the workshop if yours is not listed.

A short delay is usually manageable, but a missed interval can leave a gap in the book, and some manufacturers are strict about that for warranty purposes. Wear that would have been caught early also has longer to develop.

We use parts and fluids of the correct specification for your vehicle, which is what the warranty requires. Where genuine matters we use genuine, and we tell you which we are fitting before we fit it.

Yes. Tell us the make, model and kilometres and we will tell you which interval is due, what it covers and what it will cost, before you commit to anything.
